Questioning…. April 29, 2010

I wrote something on my Facebook site today that I felt needed further explanation… the post was this:  Always be searching. Always be questioning. And when you think you’ve found the answer….. Start questioning some more because when we stop learning we die. What can you do today to stretch yourself?

The questioning that I am talking about is that of a child… with inquisitiveness.  Have you ever spent time with a child and every other word out of their mouth is “why?… why?…..why?”.  It’s not about being right it’s about learning, growing becoming a greater human being.  So when I say “When you think you have found the answer” ask why again. The day we stop is the day we become stagnant and our brain ceases to grow and we cease to grow hence we die.  So our child like questioning will not only keep us young but keep us Brilliant!

So I ask you How can you stretch yourself today? What can you learn today that you didn’t know yesterday?

LOVE

I have a question for you. What did you mean by “You can’t have the light with out the dark”?

    • Thanks for a great question! I mean many things. In general day with out night or our conscious state. But specifically in reference to my Facebook status I mean our conscious state. We would not know what the light is if we were constantly living in it….. or vica versa If we were living in constant darkness it would simply be our constant. Whether in our living situation or our conscious state. And once we know where we are we can make conscious choices of where we chose to be. There is no judgment in this statement. No good or bad. It’s just one of observation.

Thank you for your reply. I especially liked, “And once we know where we are we can make conscious choices of where we chose to be.”
