I have blogged about Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor in the past but I wanted a little inspiration today!  It is amazing what can happen when we neurologically align our Brain with our heart!! Consciousness: The way we perceive ourselves and others in the world.  Here’s her most exquisite sharing at the TED Talks!

My question for you today is: What’s your theme song? For me having a theme song helps to elevate your joy. It can pull you into the moment when you’re everywhere but in the moment. It can get you ready to go out or stay in if the mood strikes.  If you don’t have one I invite you to take some time to ponder what mellifluous tones bring sparkle to the who of you. And the who just might be feel great!

I’ve had my theme song so since college and I still love it! I’ll share it!  What’s yours? And PS the dancers are bad a$$!

Stay warm!

Lots of Love

I posted a few days ago the October 18th lecture by His Holiness so I thought I’d post his second lecture as well.  It was on the following day at Western Connecticut State University . I also thought it was apropos after Monday’s post.  🙂 We could all use a wee bit of a reminder on living with compassion….

Energetically!

I watched this TED Talk quiet awhile ago but recently watched it again and I think it’s Spectacular!!! I believe that there is a purpose to be found in everything. And in that axiom, there is freedom of choice. We are able to choose the high, the healthier, the more anabolic choice!! One that will keep us well and healthy and get us through anything.

Love and Light!

Goal Setting…. June 10, 2010

As a coach I help people reach their “goals” in an achievable sustainable way….   Yes you might want to increase your bank account, let go of some weight or even meet the partner of your dreams but I have a new thought for some of you…..

Your stated goal isn’t really your goal. Your goal is how this idea makes you feel.  What you thought was your stated goal is only the strategy for achieving peace, contentment, and love.  For example let’s say that you want to increase your income to well over a 6 figures.  The goal is, how will this make you feel and what will you achieve in reaching your stated goal.  Is it that you have more financial freedom or say it will give you the ability to live a fuller life?  So making more money is your strategy and not your true goal.

What does your true  goal and what t is your strategy to achieve it?

The Way You Do Anything…. May 29, 2010

SORRY!I can remember spending hours with my sisters when I was a kid playing SORRY! and little did I know that it was going to tell me so much about how I was going to show up in life when I was an adult.  I have frequently used the expression, “The way you do anything is the way you do everything”. I invite you to look at the way you use to play board games when you were a kid, or the way you do now for that fact. How do you play? Do you sit back and observe your opponents, then go in to play? Do you play full-out all the time? Or do you play in and out?  Think about it. Then I invite you to look at how you live…… What are the parallels?

How are they similar? How do you engage with others?  Even for that fact how do you engage with yourself? Do you play your board game honestly? Do you hide your cards or did you take them out at the last-minute…… Do you share all the time and give things away? How do you want to win the game? Where else in your life do these similarities show up?

I realize I have asked a lot of questions.. Really look at how you played/play any game. But the Game of life is not to be won or lost it’s merely played it’s never going to be won.

What would happen if we just simply played? When we play the board game the winning isn’t the goal….. What is it that the winning brings you? How does the winning make you feel? That is the goal! The winning is simply the strategy to reach the goal.

The way you do anything is the way you do everything.

I would like to  invite you to our Benefit Concert, June 21 at 6:30pm.  It should be a terrific event and we hope that you will come out and support us, the kids and the work that we do. We’ve got all of the information up on the web at Statement Arts. Tickets are tax deductible and available through our website.
